Auburn’s secondary has taken a hit as Jay Crawford announced on Tuesday that he intends to enter the transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reports.
A 4-star recruit in the 2024 signing class, Crawford played in all but two games during his two seasons on the Plains, recording 30 total tackles, two interceptions, 11 passes broken up and one tackle for a loss.
In 2024, Crawford earned SEC All-Freshman Honors after recording 15 tackles (13 solo) and seven passes broken up with an interception.
Out of Parkview High School in Lilburn, Ga., Crawford chose the Tigers over a number of suitors, including LSU and Florida. He had 33 offers coming out of high school.
Crawford becomes the 13th Auburn player to announce they will enter the transfer portal this offseason.
