Auburn basketball's most recent commit, Kaden Magwood, wasted no time letting Tiger fans know exactly who he is. In his first high school game since his announcement on November 12, the guard scored 31 points, including a game-winning logo three.

Magwood committed to Auburn earlier Tuesday afternoon, choosing the Tigers over Ole Miss, NC State, and Georgia Tech.

The four-star has been making headlines for some time now, averaging nearly 25 points per game for the Blue Checks; a team in the Overtime Elite League, a group devoted to putting the best high school basketball players in the world all on the same floor.

The six-foot-one, 170-pounder made no exception to his usual production after committing to the Tigers, scoring 31 points and five assists in Tuesday’s matchup against the Cold Hearts, all while shooting a staggering 50% from three-point range.

Kaden Magwood puts spectacular exclamation mark on Auburn basketball commitment

Most impressively, however, is the exclamation point Magwood put on his signing day; he nailed a heavily contested game-winning three-pointer from the logo.

This incredibly clutch bucket soundly ends any doubts that this new recruit would struggle in the clutch or shooting long-range threes, emphasizing the 247Sports Director of Scouting’s analysis: “He's a tough shot-maker who is capable of getting his shot off whenever he wants”

Bruce Pearl’s squad is getting stronger by the day -- his 2024 squad just took down highly ranked Houston despite some pre-game trouble, and has now found themselves sitting atop the KenPom rankings.

The addition of Magwood in the 2025 class proves that Auburn is in a continuous reload, long past the era of rebuilding before Pearl got here.
