With a final non-conference addition, the Tigers' football opponents for the 2025 season have been finalized
The 2024 season is the beginning of a new era in the Southeastern Conference with the additions of Oklahoma and Texas to the league. For the first time ever, SEC Media Days will be held in Dallas, Texas, to welcome the newbies to the conference after previously being held in Nashville, Atlanta, and Birmingham.
With new teams comes additional scheduling challenges, so the schedules will look pretty different for most teams this year. For example, Auburn football will not play LSU or Ole Miss, who they have played every year since the 1990s, or Mississippi State, who the Tigers have matched up with every season since the 1950s.
After 32 seasons, the east and west divisions in the conference will be eliminated. The SEC has also announced that teams will play the same schedule from 2024 in 2025, but the locations will be swapped, essentially creating a home-and-away scenario for each conference opponent.
With the conference opponents set, all that was left for the 2025 season was to work out non-conference opponents, and the Tigers finished that up earlier this week with a final addition. Mercer has agreed to play the Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium on November 22, 2025, according to AL.com. See below for Auburn football's full 2025 schedule of opponents:
Arkansas
Oklahoma
Georgia
Missouri
Kentucky
Vanderbilt
Texas A&M
Alabama
Baylor
Ball State
South Alabama
Mercer
The dates and times for the SEC games will be announced at a later time, but the Tigers are expected to open the 2025 season on the road against Baylor on August 30 followed by Ball State on September 9 and then South Alabama on September 13. They will face Mercer at the end of November before the Iron Bowl.
