Several major Auburn football recruiting targets have scheduled their official visits with the program
The Auburn football team is in the middle of spring practice which means it is prime time for recruits to visit the Plains and check out the players and the coaching staff in action. With less than a week left of spring practice, prospects have begun scheduling their official visits over the summer or during the 2024 season.
The first prospect to have recently set an official visit with the Tigers is 4-star linebacker Tyler Lockhart from Winona, Mississippi. The #17 LB in the recruiting class of 2025 and the #4 player out of his state, Mississippi State is pushing hard to earn Lockhart's commitment. He took his first trip to the Plains this past weekend, and plans to return for his official visit during the first week of June, per Auburn Rivals.
Also planning to officially visit in early June is 4-star offensive tackle Broderick Shull from Bixby, Oklahoma. Shull made his first trip to campus in March, and was impressed by the facilities and the coaching staff, especially his would-be position coach Jake Thornton. Shull is ranked as the #22 OT in the recruiting class of 2025 and is the #6 prospect out of his state.
Finally, a high profile wide receiver set an official visit with the Tigers. 4-star Travis Smith has been to visit Auburn football twice this spring, and has set his official visit for the weekend of June 7-9. Ranked as the #19 WR in the recruiting class of 2025 and the #20 prospect out of Georgia, Smith has received interest from several high-profile schools including Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, among others.
Auburn football's recruiting class of 2025 is currently made up of 9 commits and is ranked #9 overall and #4 in the SEC.
