Auburn Tigers News: 4-star LB sets official visit, plus weekend sports results
In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, a 4-star Georgia linebacker sets an official visit with Auburn football, plus Auburn athletics results from the weekend
Over the weekend, 4-star linebacker Herbert Scroggins took his first visit to the Plains, and he's already scheduled a return trip. Out of Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia — the same school current Auburn QB Holden Geriner played at — Scroggins got to take in a spring practice session and meet with the coaching staff.
"They’re one of my top schools for sure man," Scroggins said, per Auburn Rivals. "Just the communication, everything they do."
The linebacker's official visit is set for September 6-8, when the Tigers host California in Jordan-Hare Stadium. There are several other schools in the mix for Scroggins, but he hopes to make a final decision this fall after his official visits.
Auburn athletics results from the weekend
It was a big weekend for Auburn athletics, with baseball, softball, equestrian, golf, and tennis among the sports that competed. Below are updates and results from the weekend:
Auburn Equestrian: The Tigers won their seventh consecutive SEC championship over the weekend in College Station, Texas, where they took down the #1 seed and host team, Texas A&M. Next up for the team is the 2024 NCEA Championships April 18-20 in Ocala, Florida.
Auburn Women's Golf: The team beat Florida by 11 shots to win the Liz Murphy Collegiate Classic in Athens, Georgia. Next up, the Tigers will head to the SEC Championship tournament on April 12 at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
Auburn Baseball: Texas A&M completed a three-game sweep over the Tigers, who struggled with pitching throughout the whole series. Auburn baseball falls to a 16-11 overall and 1-8 conference record. They will face off against UAB this Tuesday before returning to the Plains to host Tennessee for a weekend series.

They are 16-11-1 overall and 3-9 in conference play, and they will return to action Wednesday against Samford at Jane B. Moore Field.
