When do the Tigers begin their pursuit of a March Madness title? They will be playing in the first round on Thursday, March 21 as the four-seed takes on 13-seed and Ivy League Champion Yale.
The Tigers got to watch the bracket reveal covered in confetti and had pieces of the SEC Tournament net tied onto their championship hats. The team was riding high on the joys of an SEC Tournament championship and all they had to do was wait to see who and where they would be playing.
Auburn finds themselves in the East Region playing their first and potential second game in Spokane, Washington. If the Tigers win, they will play the winner of the San Diego State and UAB.

The Tigers are in the same region as overall one-seed UConn and two-seed Iowa State. Both of these teams could pose a threat to Auburn's title hopes as I believe these are the two hottest teams right now in college basketball.
This will be the 13th time Auburn will be in the big dance. They earned the automatic bid this year as the SEC Tournament champions, but it can be assumed they would have made it in either way. This is the third year in a row Auburn has made it to March Madness.
In 2023, the Tigers beat Iowa in the first round but ran into Goliath Houston and were unable to pull off the upset. Hopes are high for this Bruce Pearl-led team, especially after the SEC Tournament.
According to FanDuel sportsbooks, Auburn has the third-best odds to win the region behind UConn and Iowa State. The Tigers odds are set at +500 and they are already an early favorite in their game against Yale. They are currently a 12.5-point favorite.
