One of the most interesting staffing moves that head coach Hugh Freeze made over the offseason was adding Will Redmond as the General Manager of Player Personnel. Redmond was previously the Director of Player Personnel at LSU and was key in helping Brian Kelly build up his roster after making the move to Baton Rouge.

Redmond grew up following the Tigers and knew about the Auburn Family, but was able to experience it firsthand once he arrived on the Plains. For the GM, the coaching staff assembled by Freeze has been the best part of the job.

"I have been blown away at the relationships, the connections, the people here," Redmond said, per Auburn Undercover. "This staff has no ego. These guys want to work hard. We get after it. We have fun doing it. We laugh in staff meetings. Coach Freeze is an incredible leader to be around. I'm having more fun, both personally being here at Auburn, and professionally than maybe I've ever had in my career.

Auburn 2024 summer enrollees

Next week the Auburn football team will hit the ground running with summer workouts under the supervision of strength coach Dominic Studzinski. While a large portion of the Tigers' recruiting class of 2024 arrived on campus earlier this year to participate in spring practice, several more will arrive this week as summer enrollees and spring transfers will join the team, as well.

Four more high school prospects are Plains-bound ahead of summer workouts: wide receiver Perry Thompson, wide receiver Malcolm Simmons, offensive lineman DeAndre Carter, and cornerback Amon Lane-Ganus.

Thompson and Simmons round out the team's haul of high-caliber receivers, while Carter will join the O-line corps as an important depth piece. Though there were some late transfers heading out of the Tigers' secondary, Lane-Ganus will likely spend his first season learning the ropes from the rest of the room.
