In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, 2024 QB signee Walker White meets up with former Auburn quarterback Bo Nix, and Auburn basketball player Carter Sobera earns a scholarship

At the Auburn basketball game over the weekend, the future met the past. 2024 quarterback signee Walker White met former Auburn football quarterback Bo Nix in Neville Arena as the Tigers took on LSU on Saturday.

Early in the game, former Auburn and Oregon quarterback Bo Nix was shown on the jumbotron and waved with a smile as the Auburn Family cheered on their former QB. Nix played three seasons at Auburn before transferring to Oregon for his last two years of eligibility. Nix led the Ducks to the conference championship this season and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.

According to The Montgomery Advertiser, White and Nix have a previous relationship with Nix acting as a mentor. The pair met up in Neville Arena for a photo.

Auburn basketball walk-on Carter Sobera earns a scholarship

It's always a good feeling when a walk-on athlete earns a scholarship, and the Auburn basketball team got to celebrate that feeling this weekend after their massive win over the LSU Tigers. In the locker room after the victory, head coach Bruce Pearl announced that senior walk-on Carter Sobera earned a scholarship to play basketball at Auburn University.

Pearl has always given high praise to the Tigers' scout team for their effort and important role on the team. Sobera has seen game action in 15 contests so far throughout his career on the Plains, and logged a rebound earlier this year in the matchup against Alabama State.

Auburn basketball's next game will tip off at 8:00 p.m. from Nashville as the Tigers hit the road to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on the SEC Network.
