Auburn Tigers News: 4-star WR puts AU in top eight, full spring practice schedule released
In today's edition of Auburn Tigers news, a 4-star wide receiver puts Auburn football in his top eight schools and the Tigers release the spring practice schedule
As the Auburn football team continues to chug along through winter workouts, action in the recruiting class of 2025 continues to heat up. Over the weekend, a 4-star wide receiver out of Atlanta, Georgia, named the Tigers as a finalist in his latest recruitment breakdown. Travis Smith put Auburn football alongside Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Tennessee as his top eight programs.
Smith told On3 Sports that the relationships he is building at each of his top schools are what makes these programs stand out and noted he could see himself being successful on the plains:
“(Offensive coordinator/running backs) coach (Derrick) Nix, (head) coach (Hugh) Freeze and (wide receivers) coach (Marcus) Davis, they’ve been on me as well. Coach Freeze is the guy that ultimately produced D.K. Metcalf and A.J. Brown. With me knowing that, how could I not look at them as a great target for me to be successful with?”
