No. 1 ATH in class of 2025 puts Auburn football in top six
The No. 1 ATH in the recruiting class of 2025 is considering Auburn football alongside five other finalists
Earlier this week, an elite recruit in the class of 2025 cut down his list of potential schools to the final six programs. With his ability to play so many different positions, Cameron Sparks is ranked as the top ATH in the recruiting class of 2025 and is the #2 prospect out of the state of Tennessee. He included Auburn football in his top six alongside Miami, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida State, and Michigan.
He is classified as a wide receiver on 247 Sports, but is being primarily recruited to the Plains by tight ends coach Ben Aigamaua as a versatile, pass-catching tight end similar to Rivaldo Fairweather. He spent time on Auburn's campus back in January — his second trip after visiting for the Georgia game during the football season — and enjoyed getting to know Aigamaua and head coach Hugh Freeze.
Since his January visit, Sparks also attended a Junior Day at Tennessee, and is working on trips to visit his other finalists before making a decision on where he will begin his collegiate career. The Volunteers may be the biggest competitor to the Tigers in Sparks' recruitment as the tight end is a native of Chattanooga.
Sparks is a big fan of the culture Freeze is building and the emphasis on faith, but also appreciates that playing for Auburn football means playing with the best of the best, per Auburn Rivals:
"Playing in the SEC is the best conference," Sparks said. "I could come be a part of it. Auburn’s building something special here with their recruiting classes that they’ve been building up."
Auburn football's recruiting class of 2025 currently holds eight commits and is ranked #7 in the country.
