In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, the #2 QB in the class of 2026 visits the Plains, and KD Johnson is expected to hit the transfer portal

A-Day is almost here on the Plains and as the Tigers continue to work their way through spring practices they also continue to host interested recruits from around the country. Earlier this week, the #2 quarterback in the recruiting class of 2026, Dia Bell, made his way to campus to get to know the Auburn football coaching staff.

Bell, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, said getting to meet with the coaches in person and experience campus definitely bumped the Tigers up in his recruitment, and noted that because he feels like such a priority on the Plains that he is already looking forward to visiting again.

"They told me they’re going to keep recruiting me hard and keep coming down to see me at my school when they’re allowed to," Bell said, per Auburn Rivals. "They made it known that they’re going to recruit me hard and that I was a priority."

KD Johnson is expected to hit the transfer portal

After three seasons on the Plains, it seems Auburn basketball's favorite psycho will be looking for a new team. It was confirmed earlier this week that senior guard KD Johnson will be entering the transfer portal.

Johnson played his freshman year at Georgia before transferring to Auburn ahead of the 2021-22 season. While at Auburn, he was part of two SEC championship teams, earning the regular season title in 2022 and the conference tournament title this past season.

Though his personality, energy, and general craziness will be missed, it was an expected move, according to Auburn Live, and incoming freshman Tahaad Pettiford will likely be backing up Denver Jones next year.
