Auburn Tigers News: AU lands late transfer, RB commit is recruiting these prospects
In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, Auburn football picks up a late transfer and a running back commit is recruiting others to join him on the Plains
Over the weekend, the Auburn football program added defensive back transfer Jahquez Robinson. From Jacksonville, Florida, Robinson began his collegiate career at Alabama, where he played three seasons before transferring to Colorado ahead of last season.
Out of high school, Robinson was a 4-star prospect, ranked as the #21 cornerback in the recruiting class of 2020. He was recruited to Tuscaloosa by then-associate defensive coordinator Charles Kelly, who Robinson then followed to Colorado. Now Robinson will play for Kelly in orange and blue on the Plains.
In his 2023 season with Colorado, Robinson recorded eight tackles and an interception. He has two years of eligibility left and joins the Tigers primarily as a depth piece after losing so much of the secondary.

The Tigers also picked up a commitment from 4-star running back Alvin Henderson over the weekend. A longtime target for Auburn football, Henderson committed to Penn State back in April but revealed that head coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers never let up.
The running back noted that the Tigers' ceaseless recruitment meant a lot to him and feels good to have a final decision made and his recruitment shut down. In fact, the running back is now focused on bringing in more high-quality talent to the Plains, according to Auburn Undercover. Defensive backs Blake Woodby and Anquon Fegans are on Henderson's list as well as Elijah Menendez, a 4-star linebacker currently committed to Miami.
", that's committed to Miami," Henderson said regarding his top targets. "I was Miami's No. 1 recruit for a minute. I was able to bond with him when I was considering them. . . There are a few dudes. We in-state dudes are going to take care of Auburn ourselves. Our main goal is going out and getting guys who are committed or considering other schools."
The Tigers' recruiting class of 2025 is now made up of 16 commits and is ranked #5 overall by 247 Sports.
