The Auburn basketball program is expected to host multiple players from the transfer portal over the next two weeks

Auburn basketball recruiting has picked up over the last few weeks following all the entries to the transfer portal from the Tigers' previous roster. Aden Holloway, Tre Donaldson, and KD Johnson all hit the portal following the 2023-24 season.

Head coach Bruce Pearl added another point guard already in former Furman Palisade JP Pegues, but missed out on the next target, former High Point guard Duke Miles, who committed to Oklahoma last week. It is clear the Tigers are still looking for more transfers to bring on board.

Over the weekend, it was confirmed that former Samford forward Achor Achor will take an official visit to the Plains next week. He began his collegiate career at Chipola College before transferring to Samford ahead of the 2022-23 season.

Last year was Achor's breakout season, his second with the Bulldogs, and he started every game, averaging 16.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. In the On3 rankings, Achor is ranked as the #6 forward in the transfer portal.

Also slated to visit the Tigers is former UTSA point guard Jordan Ivy-Curry. Auburn Undercover reports that Ivy-Curry met with the Auburn basketball coaching staff virtually over the weekend and will make his way to the Plains on Thursday, May 9.

It will be his final visit before making a decision, and he will take trips to UCF and Wake Forest earlier in the week. Ivy-Curry originally committed to Virginia Tech out of the transfer portal, but walked back on his commitment last week. With four seasons of basketball under his belt, he began his career at UTSA and spent two years there before transferring to Pacific for the 2022-23 season and then returning to the Roadrunners.

Both transfers would be big additions for the Tigers who are still trying to reload their roster.
