In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, Auburn basketball hosts a transfer guard and the Auburn baseball team picks up a much-needed win over Florida A&M

With three guards hitting the transfer portal (Tre Donaldson, Aden Holloway, and KD Johnson) the Auburn basketball team is looking for more depth as head coach Bruce Pearl continues to reload his team ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The Tigers already locked down the commitment of Furman transfer guard JP Pegues, and are looking for another guard to add to the mix. At the end of the month, former High Point guard Duke Miles will visit the Plains, per Auburn Undercover.

The Montgomery, AL, native began his career at Troy before transferring to High Point in North Carolina for his senior season. Last year, Miles averaged 17.5 points per game and shot 36 percent from behind the arc and 80 percent at the free throw line.

Meanwhile, the Auburn baseball team faced off against Florida A&M in a mid-week contest and picked up a dominant win over the Rattlers. The Tigers scored eight runs in the third inning, ultimately run-ruling Florida A&M in the seventh inning and winning 11-1.

Right handed pitcher Chase Allstrup was instrumental in the Tigers' victory, not allowing a hit until the fifth inning and striking out eight batters. Cooper McMurray and Carter Wright knocked down two hits a piece to lead the charge and three runs were driven in by a Cooper Weiss double.

Auburn baseball improves to a 20-20 record, and will return to action this weekend when they travel to Baton Rouge for a three-game series against LSU. Games will be played at 6:30 p.m. Friday night, 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
