In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, two defensive line transfers are making a big impact for the Tigers and a 4-star running back plans to officially visit Auburn football

Trill Carter and Gage Keys were two of the earliest transfers brought in by head coach Hugh Freeze and the coaching staff after the 2023 season. The pair began their college football careers together at Minnesota, split up last season with Carter heading to Texas and Keys heading to Kansas, and now they are reunited as teammates on the Plains.

By the time the A-Day game rolled around earlier this month, it was clear that both defensive linemen were going to be instant contributors for the Tigers and had worked their way to the front of the rotation as starters. For defensive line coach Vontrell King-Williams, the duo were important gets from the transfer portal.

“I absolutely love Gage and I absolutely love Trill,” said Vontrell King-Williams, per Auburn Rivals. “Those guys have done some things that will put them in some good situations. Still gotta fix some technique things, but … we’ve hit on those two transfers for sure.”

4-star running back plans to officially visit Auburn football

Elsewhere in the world of recruiting, 4-star running back Ousmane Kromah has set an official visit with the Auburn football program. From Leesburg, Georgia, Kromah is ranked as the #4 running back in the recruiting class of 2025 and the #10 prospect out of the Peach State.

According to his profile on 247 Sports, Kromah has set five official visits for the summer. He will visit Auburn on May 17, Miami on May 31, Florida State on June 7, Florida on June 14, and Georgia on June 21.

With plans to visit more schools during the 2024 season, it could be late in the year before the running back makes a final decision, but the Tigers are doing what they can to stay at the top of Kromah's list.
