In today's edition of Auburn Tigers news, Jaylin Simpson reacts to the Keionte Scott's position change heading into the 2024 season and three signees win awards at the Alabama Mr. Football banquet
This weekend, former Auburn football player Jaylin Simpson will be back in action before the NFL Draft. Simpson, along with Nehemiah Pritchett, DJ James, and Marcus Harris, will all be competing in the Reese's Senior Bowl this Saturday to try to raise their draft stock before the combine and the draft.
Simpson spoke to the media about Auburn football, specifically about the DB room after losing the trio of Simpson, James, and Pritchett. He wasn't aware that Keionte Scott — who received a Senior Bowl invite but elected to return to Auburn for another year — is expected to change positions from nickel to cornerback in the upcoming season, per AL.com:
“He did? I didn’t even know that, man,” Simpson said of Scott’s plans to change positions. “I mean, he could come out here and play any position right now. He can do it all. He’s definitely going to be here at this game next year, for sure. All-SEC player right there.”
