In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, wide receiver Koy Moore enters the transfer portal and a transfer linebacker reacts to his Auburn visit

Former LSU and Auburn football wide receiver Koy Moore has officially entered the transfer portal. A grad transfer, Moore will have one year of eligibility left at his next stop. Moore began his college football career at LSU and spent two seasons with the Bayou Bengals before transferring to Auburn ahead of the 2022 season.

In his first year on the Plains Moore contributed 20 receptions for 314 yards and one touchdown but fell out of the rotation in 2023 and is most remembered for his muffed punt mistake in the fourth quarter of last year's Iron Bowl.

He was limited in this year's spring practice due to injury and becomes the second of the Tigers' wide receivers to hit the portal following Jay Fair, who recently committed to USC.

Transfer linebacker reacts to Auburn visit

Earlier this week former South Alabama linebacker Khalil Jacobs arrived on the Plains for his official visit. He spent two years with the Jaguars and had a breakout season in 2023, recording 56 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and three forced fumbles.

Jacobs plans to make his final decision after visiting Missouri and Alabama this weekend, but right now the Tigers are making a big impression on the linebacker.

"Really just the environment, the people, they love you," Jacobs said, per Auburn Rivals. "They’re gonna make you feel at home. My coach DJ Durkin, he really sold me on how he’s put many guys in the league and that’s where I’m trying to get to. If I want to be great, take a chance on him, come see what Auburn’s about. It’s great out here, I love it."
