In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, we look at the Auburn football players who will be attending SEC Media Days and a 2025 RB opens up on the Tigers

SEC Media Days will take place next week in Dallas, Texas, a location chosen to welcome Texas and Oklahoma into the conference. From July 15-18, all 16 SEC head coaches will convene in the Lonestar State with three player representatives to speak with the media ahead of the 2024 season.

Last year, Auburn football head coach Hugh Freeze was joined by players Luke Deal (tight end), Elijah McAllister (linebacker), and Kam Stutts (offensive lineman). This year, the player representatives will be Payton Thorne (QB), Eugene Asante (linebacker), and Keldric Faulk (defensive end).

While the players chosen for media days tend to be upperclassmen who play a big leadership role on the team, it is noteworthy that Keldric Faulk was chosen as a sophomore. The Tigers will take the stage in Dallas on Thursday, July 18.

2025 RB opens up on the Tigers

Last week, 4-star running back Shekai Mills-Knight named Auburn football as a finalist in his recruitment alongside Miami, Michigan, Alabama, Missouri, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. He visited the Plains in early June, and is set to return to campus for the Tigers' massive recruiting event, Big Cat Weekend, at the end of the month.

Ranked as the #28 running back in the recruiting class of 2025, Mills-Knight says that Auburn football has been nothing but consistent when it comes to his recruitment.

"They’ve been consistent, real consistent, I’ll say that," Mills-Knight said, per Auburn Rivals. "Grant, that’s my guy, Coach Nix, that’s my guy. And he calls the plays, too, so I know that if I go there, he’ll put us in a good position to shine and thrive. When I come up on campus, they show me love consistently."
