5-star Choctaw County High School WR and Class of 2025 Alabama commit Caleb Cunningham denied that he had interest in flipping to the Auburn football program, or anywhere for that matter, before his collegiate career begins.

"I DONT CARE WHAT NOBODY SAY!! THERE IS NO FLIPPING!" wrote Cunningham on X in response to an independent Crimson Tide recruiting account, accompanied by a laughing emoji.

Thus far, Cunningham has been all-in on his excitement to join Kalen DeBoer's coaching staff. After his commitment, he shared his overjoyed excitement.

"Oh man, Bama is No. 1. They're No. 1, for sure," Cunningham said (h/t BamaOnline). "Why not Bama? They have the resources that I need. It's a great place for me to be developed, to get to the next level for my position as a receiver. They're going to develop."

But he's still taking a look at the Plains for Big Cat Weekend. Interesting.

Auburn football WR room loading up with talent

Hugh Freeze built the "Freeze Four", four blue-chip in-state WR recruits, in his 2024 recruiting class, and Cunningham could be the delayed fifth member of the would've-been "Freeze Five" -- would've been because Ryan Williams committed to the Tide -- come the Fall of 2025. In the meantime, KeAndre Lambert-Smith could fill that role in the interim.

Perhaps the greatest difference between the Freeze era and the predecessor's is the focus on top-line receiving talent. No running back room could flourish without skill position talent on the outside, and Freeze is clearly aiming to bring stars to the Plains just as he did in Oxford (MS) when he led Ole Miss.

Really makes you wonder how the predecessor was a quarterback during his playing days and couldn't convince any noteworthy receiver to join the Tigers.

As Freeze looks to build beyond the leftovers from Bryan Harsin and Gus Malzahn and his initial 2023 transfers, he's aiming for the best.

Cunningham may not be too keen on a flip, results and money talk. Stay tuned on this one.
