COMMITTING TODAY: Auburn football running back target Alvin Henderson

Today 4-star running back Alvin Henderson will make a final decision and commit to a college football program

The Auburn football program is hoping to add another commit to its recruiting class of 2025 today in 4-star running back Alvin Henderson. From Elba, Alabama, Henderson has over 40 offers from high profile programs including the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, and more.

Henderson, who is ranked as the #8 running back in the recruiting class of 2025 and the #10 prospect out of the state of Alabama, is set to announce his commitment in the Elba High School gym at noon central time. The Tigers have been a mainstay in the running back's recruiting for years and have made him a top priority in this recruiting cycle.

According to Henderson, his main goal is choosing a school whose coaches have built a good relationship with him and who can get him to the next level in his career.

"The main thing that’s gonna be important for me in my commitment will be the school that I’ve had the longest relationship with," Henderson said, per Auburn Rivals. "Not only that, but a coach that I know is gonna be able to develop me and be able to get me to the next level, which is the NFL."

Despite the change is his primary recruiter from Cadillac Williams to Derrick Nix, Henderson's level of interest in the Tigers has remained solid, and coaching will play a part in his decision, as well.

"I went back and did my research over these last few weeks, and looked at the players they developed, who played as freshman, which dudes made the most impact on the program when they came in and how they were developed," Henderson said.

Both the On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine and the 247 Sports Crystal Ball forecast Henderson choosing Auburn football, but his finalists include Auburn, Penn State, Miami, Florida State, and Oregon, and the Seminoles have been making a big push as of late.
