Auburn Tigers football coach Hugh Freeze suspended Antonio Coleman, but that doesn't mean he, defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, and defensive line coach Vontrell King-Williams don't plan to eventually use him.

In fact, CBS Sports' Carter Bahns foresees the former Saraland star factoring into the mix at the tackle spot after a position switch from the outside.

"It is not clear how large of a role Coleman could hold in 2025, but as an incoming Top247 recruit at a position that requires immense depth, he may factor into the rotation as a true freshman. Coleman joined the program as a defensive end, but the 6-foot-1, 256-pound newcomer moved to the defensive tackle spot in preseason camp," Bahns wrote.

Antonio Coleman famous for three flips between Alabama, Auburn

Coleman's recruitment was a wild handful of flips from the Alabama Crimson Tide to Auburn, back to Alabama, and back to Auburn again.

Barstool Sports' Ohios Tate reacted to what turned out to be Coleman's final flip with indifference. Actually, the correct label was with as much skepticism as humanly possible.

"I hate to knock the guy, but the Auburn fan base can't be excited to see this news, right? He's already came and went enough to show us that with a year remaining, he's more likely than not to do it again," Tate wrote. "This would be like being a guy's 4th wife and thinking you're the one! My question is this: does Auburn's coaching staff pump their fists in the air when they got this news? Or do they start preparing for who to fill his spot with when he commits to Texas?"

Coleman stuck with the last Alabama-to-Auburn flip, but now his future is clouded with mystery after a team infraction Freeze refuses to share.

Assuming Coleman gets back on the field before long, he'll likely make noise for the right reasons.
