Ahead of Auburn football’s last Saturday matchup against Texas A&M, the media world was abuzz about the potential of five-star quarterback Deuce Knight potentially flipping his commitment from Hugh Freeze’s Tigers to Lane Kiffen’s Ole Miss.

After last night, it’s pretty safe to say Auburn fans can rest easy on Knight’s chances of remaining with the Tigers.

Auburn took down No. 15-ranked Texas A&M last night in a four-overtime thriller. Many are already referring to this as the game of the year. On the sideline stood Deuce Knight, along with a vast multitude of other recruits.

Knight made headlines earlier this week when Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss were quoted as saying that they were “actively pursuing” a commitment flip from Knight– and many fans began to worry for Knight’s future with the Tigers after he rushed the field with Ole Miss following their win over Georgia.

Entering this week, many viewed this matchup for the Tigers as a must-win– both for their bowl chances and their recruits. They did not disappoint.

When Auburn secured their win as the fourth overtime came to an end, the fans began to rush the field. Who led the pack? None other than Deuce Knight and his fellow recruits.

Knight was later seen in Auburn WR Cam Coleman’s Instagram Live, dancing and laughing with his future teammates, and just to add insult to Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffen’s injury, Knight tweeted after the game, saying “WDE!! It’s up next fall!!”

Without a doubt, there's likely absolutely anything a program like Ole Miss could do to begin to sway Knight to their team, and even less after Saturday’s matchup against Texas A&M.
