When is early national signing day and what is the status of Auburn football's recruiting class?

Signing day is right around the corner, and it will be a big day for the Auburn football program. Key recruits in the class of 2025 will officially come on board with the Tigers and there is plenty of potential for big announcements.

Early national signing day is on December 4, and the signing period will last until December 6. Previously, this was the day when student-athletes would sign their National Letter of Intent (NLI). In October 2024, the NCAA eliminated NLIs, and now the student-athletes will sign financial aid agreements with the NCAA.

Heading into December 4, Auburn football's recruiting class of 2025 is pretty solid. 5-star quarterback Deuce Knight headlines the class, along with 5-star defensive lineman Malik Autry and 4-star safety Anquon Fegans.

When it comes to recruits to watch out for, there are a few who have been keeping one ear open to other schools that have been recruiting them.

4-star offensive tackle Tavaris Dice is being pursued hard by Billy Napier and the Florida Gators, and he recently visited Gainesville for several days when the Gators took on LSU. However, Dice visited the Plains for the Tigers' win over Texas A&M and helped lead the charge in the field storming after the game, so things are looking good for Auburn.

Another recruit to watch is 5-star edge Jared Smith. He holds a Crystal Ball Prediction to flip to Ole Miss, but is also showing a lot of interest in South Carolina. He visited both schools recently, but was on the Plains for the win over Texas A&M.

On the other hand, Auburn football recently hosted two recruits it wants badly, both of whom are committed to other schools. 5-star cornerback Na'eem Offord, who is currently committed to Ohio State, and 4-star running back Ousmane Kromah, who recently committed to Georgia, were in Jordan-Hare Stadium this past weekend for the big win.

Offord recently announced he will make his final decision between Ohio State, Auburn, and Oregon on December 4. Kromah could end up being a surprise flip.

As it stands, Auburn football's recruiting class of 2025 is ranked #5 overall and has 27 commits.
