The Cam Coleman saga is getting crazier as the former Auburn wide receiver could have a new top program on his list. The Alabama Crimson Tide was just hit with a tough blow with the announcement of Isaiah Horton entering the transfer portal.

The reason Auburn fans need to worry about this is that it could easily open the door for Coleman to head to Tuscaloosa. The top-ranked wide receiver has an official visit with the Crimson Tide set for this weekend, which is the last thing that Tiger fans want to see.

Isaiah Horton's transfer open the door for Alabama to bring in Cam Coleman

The transfer of Horton means that Coleman could go and be one of the top wide receivers with Ryan Williams at Alabama. This would be the would possible outcome for Auburn as they don't want to see their best player go to a rival, and then have to play against him at the end of the season.

Alabama has all the resources to go all in on Coleman, and head coach Kalen DeBoer would be a fool to let him leave Tuscaloosa without a commitment. However, there is one thing that could keep Coleman from choosing the Crimson Tide, and that could be Ty Simpson.

Simpson announced that he is headed to the NFL Draft, so the quarterback position is a little up in the air for Alabama, although all signs are pointing to Austin Mack or Keelon Russell. Coleman could decide to go somewhere with a more established quarterback with more experience.

All Auburn fans will be hoping for is that Coleman goes anywhere but Tuscaloosa; going to a rival is the worst thing a player can do, but Tiger fans may have to get ready to see that happen.
