Head coach Bryan Harsin and his coaching staff have added another tight end offer to the Auburn football class of 2022 making it a round dozen. Of the 12, three have already committed to schools other than Auburn. The latest offer has gone out to Nebraska native Kaden Helms.
Helms is a three-star tight end per 247 Sportsβ composite ranking, and heβs the #4 prospect out of his state and the #17 tight end. Heβs received 23 offers so far, only three of which come from SEC schools.
In the 2020-21 season, Helms caught 25 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns. He also averaged 12.9 receiving yards.
Extremely blessed to have received a scholarship offer from Auburn University! π @BradBedell pic.twitter.com/Iw7h885zKS

Kaden Helms already has a tie to Auburn football in his high school teammate Micah Riley, a four-star tight end who has also received an offer from the Tigers. Rileyβs interest in Auburn on 247Sports is listed as βwarmβ so itβs possible that he could pull Helms towards the Plains as well.
Per the Omaha World-Herald, the pair would be happy playing for the same team but insist that they are not a package deal and they arenβt set on attending the same school:
"βA lot of people ask us that, and I wonβt say βno,β but β and me and him have talked about this β it has be a college we both feel we can fit into it well,β Helms said. βIf heβs feeling a college and Iβm not, Iβm not going to go there.β"
Helms could play at the wide receiver or tight end position, but with Auburn football tight ends coach Brad Bedell tagged in his Twitter post itβs probably safe to assume the Tigers are recruiting him as a TE.

Teammate of another AU offer, Micah Riley-Ducker.
Helms is a major receiving threat as a bigger body guy. He understands route concepts and is pretty smooth for a big guy. Pretty good in space as a blocker as well. #WarEagle https://t.co/PzmPJxpxgm
Both tight ends are in hot demand from schools around the country, but both could be calling the Plains home come 2022.
