Every Auburn football fan is excited about the upcoming season. With a new head coach, a massive culture change to the program, a new facility on the way, and a revamp of recruiting, there is a lot to look forward to and a lot of questions to be answered heading into the fall.

If there’s one thing that everyone can agree on, it’s that we miss Jordan-Hare Stadium. The home of the Auburn Tigers has not been full since the 2019 Iron Bowl, meaning that if full capacity attendance is allowed in September it will have been a whole year and nine months since 87,451 fans have packed out the stands.

But it’s not just the Auburn fans that miss Saturdays in the stadium–the players, former and current, as well as new coaches, got in on the excitement when the Auburn football Twitter account posted a throwback video.

Director of recruiting Darren Uscher and players Alec Jackson, T.D. Moultry, and Luke Deal got in on the action:

Also commenting on the video was former Auburn running back and current NFL player Kerryon Johnson. After being waived by the Detroit Lions, Johnson was quickly picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Though he hasn’t yet had the chance to play at Lincoln Financial Field as an Eagle, Johnson claims that the #1 stadium to play in is on the Plains, and that’s after three seasons on football’s biggest stage:

If all goes well leading up to September 4, Jordan-Hare should once again be filled with 87,451 screaming fans in orange and blue when the Tigers kick off the season against the Akron Zips from Ohio.
