It has been quite the ride for Auburn football so far this season. After two hefty blowout wins versus Akron and Alabama State, the Tigers traveled up to Big 10 country to face the Penn State Nittany Lions in the famous Whiteout, their biggest game of the season.

Though the Tigers suffered their first loss of the season, it was to a top 10 team and things were still looking up. Then there was the Georgia State game that ignited a quarterback controversy that lasted up until Bo Nix unlocked magician mode secured his QB1 spot with Auburn football’s first victory in LSU’s Death Valley since 1999.

Of course, the Georgia game was a heartbreaker. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, and the Tigers fell to the #2 team and dropped eight spots out of the AP Poll. Comfortably sitting in the underdog position, Auburn took an earful about their imminent defeat by Arkansas. That is until the orange and blue dominated the hogs and pulled away for their fifth win of the season.

With no undefeated teams left in the SEC West, Auburn football is in full control of their season and whether or not they will make the trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship. It all comes down to the last five games, three of which are versus ranked opponents (Ole Miss, TAMU, and Alabama).

When The JBoy Show tweeted out asking fans to tell how they feel about their team in GIF form, no team could have the variety of replies that Auburn football fans had. After all, which other team’s fans endure a whole roller coaster of game time emotions every Saturday?

There’s no telling what exactly you’re going to get with Auburn football, but where things stand now, there’s a chance that the Tigers could end up surprising a lot of people by December.
