Auburn football will host a wide range of talented prospects this weekend for its ranked SEC matchup versus #10 Ole Miss this weekend. Most of the Tigers’ 2022 commits will be in attendance, along with several recruits who have committed to other schools.

One of the visitors on the Plains this weekend will be a teammate of Auburn football 2022 running back commit Damari Alston. Jalen Woods, who currently holds no composite ranking on the 247Sports website, is a class of 2023 recruit who plays alongside Alston at Atlanta’s Woodward Academy.

The pro-style quarterback only holds one offer so far, from Toledo University. However, Woods camped at Georgia Tech over the summer and had a great experience, per Georgia Tech Rivals:

"“The visit was a really good one,” exclaimed Woods shortly after leaving campus. “I did really well at the camp too. I had the chance to talk to all of the GT coaches, including Geoff Collins, and also one of the other schools that was there too.”"

Auburn football currently holds no commits for the recruiting class of 2023, but they have been working double-time to send out offers during the Tigers’ bye week. 5-star 2023 linebacker Drayk Bowen plans to announce his commitment next month and could become the first member of next year’s recruiting class.

First-year head coach Bryan Harsin has done well in setting up quarterback depth since he’s arrived on the Plains, with TJ Finley and Dematrius Davis already lined up behind Bo Nix and 5-star Holden Geriner leading the class of 2022. Adding Jalen Woods to the roster would line up another quarterback for the Tigers, and one that would have established chemistry with a future running back.

Though he has yet to receive an offer from Auburn football, it will be interesting to see how his visit plays out this weekend on the Plains.
