Auburn football is playing host to a number of top recruits from the recruiting class of 2023 this week, and the visits will continue into the weekend. The Tigers’ coaching staff has done a fantastic job of getting in-state talent on the Plains to check out the program, and are cultivating strong relationships with many potential Tigers.
One prospect making his way to the Plains this weekend, 4-star cornerback Dale Miller, hails from Hoover, Alabama, but following this year he will be making the move to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Miller is currently ranked as the #354 overall prospect and the #35 cornerback in the recruiting class of 2023 and is the #22 recruit out of the state of Alabama. He visited Auburn football last October and was seen as a strong target, but it will be good for the Tigers to get him on campus again due to his out-of-state move.
Cole Pinkston of Auburn Live reports that while Miller’s 5-foot-9 and 165-pound frame makes him one of the smaller targets on the board for Auburn football, he excels at being a cover corner and there’s an obvious reason why the Hoover native is making the move to the prestigious IMG Academy.
Miller currently has 13 offers from programs including USC, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida State, Louisville, Arkansas, and Auburn, per 247 Sports, but it’s likely that the offers will multiply should the cornerback have success at IMG.
So far, Auburn football has extended offers to 16 cornerbacks in the recruiting class of 2023 including Dale Miller. Only of those prospects has already committed to another program in 5-star in-state cornerback Jahlil Hurley, who is set to attend Alabama.
Visitor lists continue to grow for Bryan Harsin’s program, and the coaching staff is working hard to secure a star-studded class for 2023.
