As the summer recruiting season officially kicks off, the Auburn football coaching staff will not only be looking to fill holes on the 2022 roster to the transfer portal, but also playing host to a multitude of top recruits from the class of 2023.

The Tigers are working hard to add depth to the wide receiver corps in 2023, especially due to the lack of experience currently in the position group heading into the coming season. Newly-hired wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard has been putting in work, though, and has brought the Tigers back in the race for 4-star receiver Karmello English, who is also being pursued by Alabama.

Another top wide receiver prospect from the class of 2023 will be taking an official visit this weekend in 4-star Keyon Brown. The Tallahassee native is ranked as the #313 overall prospect and the #42 wide receiver in the recruiting class of 2023 as well as the #62 recruit out of the state of Florida.

Brown received his offer from Auburn football on May 24, less than a week ago, but was quick to schedule his upcoming official visit:

According to Auburn Live, Brown has been a priority target for the Tigers for awhile now, but they wanted to get an in-person look before extending an offer. Now, Auburn has surged to the top of Brown’s recruiting list, although the Tigers will still be competing with Florida State, Kentucky, and Ole Miss to land the 4-star wide receiver. The only other visits Brown has taken have been to in-state school Florida State.

Brown’s recruitment is likely far from over seeing as he is still taking visits and receiving offers, but as of now, the Tigers are in a good spot with the receiver.
