It was a big weekend on the Plains with the official opening of the football-only facility, the ramping up of the NIL collective, and Coach Caddy’s first home game as interim head coach of Auburn football. As the last SEC game to be played at Jordan-Hare this season, it was the perfect time for a bunch of recruits to flock to campus.

Over twenty prospects took unofficial visits to the Plains this past weekend, and several more visited officially, including two recruits that have already verbally committed to other programs: 3-star linebacker Stanquan Clark and 3-star wide receiver Lamar Leymore.

The pair of prospects are currently teammates at Miami Central, the school where another top Auburn football target–Rueben Bain–plays football, as well.

Stanquan Clark committed to Louisville in mid-August of this year, but continues to insist that Auburn is one of his top schools, right alongside the Cardinals. As for what it would take to flip him, the LB isn’t sure. However, playing at the same school as his teammates at the college level could be a factor in his final decision.

Clark is being primarily recruited by Christian Robinson, with whom he has a strong relationship dating back to CRob’s days in Florida, but is also close with Roc Bellantoni, per Auburn Live.

Lamar Seymore has received a lot of Auburn buzz lately, and it was only enhanced by the wide receiver’s experience on the Plains this weekend, according to Auburn Live:

"“That was very surprising,” he said. “I didn’t know it would get like that. It was loud. And the crowd was close to the sideline. That made it even louder.”"

He is being primarily recruited by Ike Hilliard and again, Roc Bellantoni, who covers recruiting the Miami area for the Tigers. While Seymore is remaining firm in his commitment to Pitt so far, Auburn football’s new head coach could certainly change things for the Miami native.

Next. “Nobody knows” what’s going on with TJ Finley. dark
