While the Auburn football program may be struggling a bit when it comes to recruiting in the class of 2023, the class of 2024 kicked off with a bang during Big Cat Weekend this summer. The Tigers secured two commits, 4-star cornerback A’Mon Lane and 4-star quarterback Adrian Posse.

However, just because the Tigers have locked in one quarterback commit, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t still pursuing a second QB prospect in the class of 2024. In fact, 4-star Air Noland is still one of the top targets for next year’s class.

Noland is an important part of the Tigers’ recruiting over the next two years because of his close group of teammates from Langston-Hughes, many of whom are considering Auburn football as their home while playing at the college level. Recruits like UGA commit Bo Hughley, Auburn commit Terrance Love, UNC commit Joshua Horton, Ohio State commit Jelani Thurman, and more members of the Langston-Hughes roster are all on the Tigers’ radar.

Despite Posse’s commitment, Noland is still strongly considering Auburn, where he camped for multiple summers and has been to visit several times this year. In addition to Auburn, he’s considering Miami, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, West Virginia, and Ole Miss– home of the guy who is currently believed to be the favorite in the Tigers’ head coaching search.

Having been recruited by the Rebs, Noland is familiar with Lane Kiffin, and had positive things to say about him and the speculation that he could be heading to Auburn, per Auburn Undercover:

"“I’ve had a few conversations with him,” Noland said. “The last conversation I had with him was, I would say, a few months ago the last time I visited up there. We had a smooth conversation about football. I don’t really have the relationship that I would say I need to have with him, but Lane Kiffin is a cool guy. He’s a very, very into business type of coach. Very great play-caller, great coach all around. I think recruits want to be around a guy like that.”"

While nothing in the search for Auburn football’s next head coach is certain, it is clear that landing Lane Kiffin would not hurt the Tigers’ chances when it comes to landing 4-star quarterback Air Noland.
