With spring practices a little over a month away, the Auburn football coaching staff is locked in on recruiting. The Tigers will want to host as many prospects as possible over the next few months, giving them the opportunity to check out a practice session and learn more about the program.

Right now, the Tigers' coaching staff have their eyes on a 3-star quarterback out of the Peach State. Travis Burgess is from Loganville, Georgia, and attends Grayson High School. He is ranked as the No. 20 quarterback in the recruiting class of 2026 and the No. 54 recruit out of his home state.

Burgess had a strong junior campaign and helped his high school to win the state title, and more programs around the country are taking notice of the young QB, who is currently one of the Tigers' top options in the 2026 class.

He was most recently on Auburn's campus for the Tigers' big recruiting Junior Day event at the end of January. After feeling at home on the Plains, he set an official visit, the only one on his schedule so far. He will return for his OV the weekend of May 31. The "at home" feeling is key for Burgess in deciding where he will play at the next level.

"I'm looking first for the coaches, if I feel at home," Burgess said, per Auburn Rivals. "Players, academics, and then just the environment. At the end of the day, I'm going to be living there on a day-to-day basis by myself. Just seeing if that's the right fit for me and my family."

Burgess is also considering Duke, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Mississippi State in his recruitment, and he plans to make a final decision sometime over the summer before he begins his senior season.
