Heading into the 2025 season, the Auburn football team has one of the most talented wide receiver rooms in the country. With the returning Freeze Four, including Cam Coleman, alongside transfers Eric Singleton Jr. and Horatio Fields, the Tigers are expected to make some plays through the air this fall.

Singleton is one of the receivers getting the most hype as the season draws closer, and he's expected to enter the NFL Draft after a year on the Plains. After a pair of productive seasons with Georgia Tech, the transfer is looking to have his best year yet with the Tigers. According to analyst Todd McShay, here is how Singleton can improve his draft stock this season.

“Eric Singleton? I’m really interested to see this guy at Auburn this year, okay,” McShay said, per On3.“Georgia Tech for two seasons, obviously transferred this year going to Auburn. But, he led Georgia Tech last year with 754 receiving yards, 56 catches, averaged 13.5 (yards per catch), only three touchdowns. Also was productive as a freshman in ’23 at 48 catches, 714, averaged 15 yards a catch, six touchdowns.

“Separates with quickness and speed, but I haven’t, I want to see from – and, again, I didn’t dive in as deep as the top six, seven guys. But, from what I’m seeing, I want to see more refinement. Relies on speed, quickness, the offensive system. I want to see more refinement this year. Solid hands. You know, not great but 6.1%, 61st percentile. Not a huge catch radius.”

Though Singleton clearly has the speed, McShay is looking for Singleton to play a bigger role and prove that he can be a major weapon at the next level.

Singleton and the Tigers return to action on August 29 in a matchup against the Baylor Bears in Waco, Texas.
