By the end of the month, the No. 2 running back in the recruiting class of 2026 will announce his commitment and shut down his recruitment. 4-star running back Ezavier Crowell spent the weekend officially visiting Auburn football before his decision day on June 26.
From Jackson, Alabama, Crowell is teammates with current Auburn quarterback target Landon Duckworth and is ranked as the No. 3 prospect out of his home state. He spent his weekend hanging out with current Auburn football players like running back Alvin Henderson and sat down with his primary recruiter, Auburn offensive coordinator Derrick Nix.
"He's a good coach, a good running backs coach," Crowell said, per Auburn Rivals. "I learned a lot about him, how he runs the ball in this offense. I just learned new things about Auburn, how I could make an impact."
Crowell would be the second running back to commit to Auburn football's class of 2026 after 3-star Eric Perry, but the Tigers have made it clear they consider Crowell to be a priority. For Crowell, the weekend on the Plains was enough to earn the Tigers several points in his recruitment, and he told Auburn Rivals the program definitely "moved up."
The running back officially visited Georgia and Texas ahead of his trip to Auburn, and will finish his official visits next weekend in Tuscaloosa with Alabama. Then, he'll make a final decision before the end of the month, choosing between the four schools he officially visited and Florida State.
