Well, the Jackson Arnold experiment has failed for yet another time, and the Auburn Tigers are left wanting at the quarterback position.
As Arnold packs his bags, yet again, to leave the High Plains, college football recruiting experts are looking toward one Group of Five program more than others for his next landing spot.
The UNLV Rebels, who missed out on joining the Pac-12 in 2026, have quickly become the frontrunners to land Arnold's third commitment (in just four years).
On3's Pete Nakos logged his expert prediction for the Rebels on Saturday, Jan. 3, just one day after Arnold officially entered the transfer portal.
Auburn Tigers happily wave goodbye to Jackson Arnold
In 10 games, Arnold completed just 136 pass attempts for 1,309 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions through the air. However, he also earned 311 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground, one of the few highlights of his third year of collegiate football.
Following the failed experiment of his two-year tenure with the Oklahoma Sooners, Arnold was supposed to be "the guy" to fix Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze's problems with the Tigers' offense.
Well, now, Freeze has been fired, and Arnold is transferring once again, and according to Nakos, he's heading from the SEC to the Mountain West conference.

While the Tigers went 5-7 this season, finishing 13th in the SEC (out of just 16 teams), the Rebels finished 10-4, earning a first-place ranking in the Mountain West, before losing to the Boise State Broncos in the conference championship game.
If he makes the move to Las Vegas, Arnold would finally get a reprieve from having to face one SEC defense after another.
So far, the Rebels have announced 11 of their opponents for the 2026 season: the Nevada Wolfpack, Wyoming Cowboys, UTEP Miners, Northern Illinois Huskies, Cal Golden Bears, Air Force Falcons, Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors, New Mexico Lobos, San Jose State Spartans, North Texas Mean Green, and Akron Zips.
