While Auburn basketball has been the talk of the town, football is still very much alive for the Tigers. Head coach Hugh Freeze has been working on the recruiting trail, and even though it has been hit and miss, he has one four-star recruit lineup for a very important official visit.

Four-star cornerback J'Vari Flowers has set up official visits with his top six schools, Florida, UNC, Georgia, Syracuse, Miami, and, of course, Auburn. Flower currently has his visit to Auburn set for March 6, just a few weeks before spring practices start.

So far, Auburn has six hard commits in their 2026 recruiting class, with four of them being four-star recruits. If the Tigers could add flowers, that would give them five four-star recruits and a very strong Class of 2026 recruiting.

Of course, though, Auburn isn't the only school Flowers is considering. Two SEC foes, Florida and Georgia, are also after the top-rated cornerback. UNC and Syracuse are the only more northern schools after Flowers, and finally Miami, where Flowers lives is the last school after their hometown kid.

Flowers come into the Class of 2026 as the No. 41 cornerback in the recruiting class and the No. 42 player in the state of Florida. Flowers has announced that he will reveal his commitment on March 31, just a week after his final official visit. While Flowers is simply making a commitment, that doesn't mean he can't de-commit. Flowers could also choose to go on official visits to other schools even after his commitment announcement.

Freeze has his work cut out for him when it comes to battling the other big-time programs. However, if he could land Flowers, it would do wonders for his defense in the future, as this kid could be something special in any secondary he plays in.
