The Auburn Tigers have broken into the top 25 of the national recruiting rankings for the class of 2026, and they did so in resounding fashion.

Earlier this week, the Tigers landed five-star safety Bralan Womack, and his commitment skyrocketed Auburn's place in the rankings, moving Hugh Freeze's upcoming class from No. 37 to No. 22 in the country.

While the class of 2026 is still a far cry from Auburn's 2025 squad, which ranked eighth in the nation, Freeze's upcoming group of prospects continues to gain momentum on the recruiting trail.

Womack is the No. 1 safety in the class and the No. 2 prospect out of Mississippi, similar to Auburn's current four-star quarterback Deuce Knight, who also committed to the Tigers over other powerhouse programs.

So far, Freeze has landed 13 commitments from the upcoming class, including Womack as the lone five-star prospect, six four-stars, and six three-stars.

Auburn Tigers class of 2026 recruits

  • Bralan Womack, five-star safety
  • Jase Matthews, four-star wide receiver
  • Jaquez Wilkes, four-star EDGE
  • Hezekiah Harris, four-star EDGE
  • Peyton Falzone, four-star athlete
  • Wilson Zierer, four-star offensive tackle
  • Adam Balogoun-Ali, four-star linebacker
  • Kentrell White, three-star athlete
  • Parker Pritchett, three-star interior offensive lineman
  • Nikau Hepi, three-star offensive tackle
  • Eric Perry, three-star running back
  • Wayne Henry, three-star safety
  • Travis Wakefield, three-star long snapper

Beyond Womack, wideout Jase Matthews and edge rushers Jaquez Wilkes and Hezekiah Harris are the highlights of Auburn's class, the latter three being the highest-rated four-star prospects in the group.

Yes, Freeze still has work to do to match the star status of his previous recruiting class, but yet another top-25 group of prospects is a huge step in the right direction for the Tigers.

Last year, Auburn landed the No. 8 nationally-ranked class and the No. 5 class in the SEC. Currently, the Tigers' class of 2026 ranks 22nd in the country and No. 11 in the conference, ahead of Arkansas, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and Missouri.
