In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, several commits win awards at the ASWA banquet, and three Tigers are participating in the Senior Bowl

The Auburn football coaching staff focused on locking down the best recruits in the state of Alabama in the 2025 recruiting cycle, and several of those commits won big at the Alabama Sports Writers Association banquet.

5-star safety Anquon Fegans was nominated for 7A Back of the Year and won the award. Both 5-star defensive lineman Malik Autry and 5-star edge Jared Smith were nominated for 7A Lineman of the Year, and Smith took home the award.

4-star defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford was nominated for and won 6A Lineman of the Year. 4-star linebacker Jakaleb "JJ" Faulk was nominated for and won 2A Lineman of the Year. To finish things off, 5-star running back Alvin Henderson was nominated for and won 1A Back of the Year for the third time.

Three Tigers are participating in the Senior Bowl

The 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl is just days away, and three Auburn football players will participate in the annual all-star game. Elite college seniors from all over the country gather in Mobile, Alabama, to showcase their talents to and connect with personnel from all 32 NFL teams.

The Tigers' three participants are running back Jarquez Hunter, linebacker Eugene Asante, and linebacker Jalen McLeod.

Hunter spent four years on the Plains and had a record-breaking career, finishing with 3,371 rushing yards, the fourth-most in Auburn football history behind Bo Jackson, Cadillac Williams, and James Brooks.

Asante transferred to Auburn from North Carolina ahead of the 2022 season, but didn't come into his own as a Tiger until the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He finished his career on the Plains with 134 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and one forced fumble.

McLeod transferred to Auburn from Appalachian State ahead of the 2023 season and became an instant impact player for the Tigers. Over his two years on the Plains, McLeod racked up 105 total tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles.

All three Tigers will play on the American Team in the Senior Bowl.
