In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, Kenyatta Watson will remain with Auburn football instead of taking a position at Notre Dame, and Chad Baker-Mazara reacts to his interaction with an Alabama fan

Late last week, it was widely reported that Notre Dame was in pursuit of a key Auburn football staffer. The Fighting Irish were looking to poach the Tigers' Director of Recruiting Kenyatta Watson for a front office recruiting role.

Auburn football has locked down top-10 recruiting classes two years in a row, and Watson has played a major role in that success on head coach Hugh Freeze's staff. Luckily for the program, 247 Sports National Recruiting Analyst Tom Loy confirmed on X that Watson will remain with the Tigers despite the offer from Notre Dame.

"According to sources: They are focused on 'finishing what we started,'" wrote Loy in his post. It's a massive win for the Tigers, who will be looking to improve significantly in Freeze's third year on the Plains.

Chad Baker-Mazara reacts to his interaction with an Alabama fan

There's not a player on the Auburn basketball team who is more fiery than Chad Baker-Mazara, which has worked for and against the 6-foot-7 senior over the last season and a half on the Plains. Unfortunately, it means that in certain situations, Baker-Mazara will never get the benefit of the doubt.

During the second half of Saturday's matchup against Alabama, Baker-Mazara went for a loose ball and ended up crashing into the photographers on the baseline. While trying to stand, it appeared that several Alabama fans put hands on the Auburn player, which led to a verbal confrontation with a woman seated courtside.

People were quick to blame Baker-Mazara for the incident, but the guard spoke up in his defense on X following the game.

The Tigers return to action this Wednesday when they host the Arkansas Razorbacks in Neville Arena at 8:00 p.m.
