Auburn’s loss could soon be one of its SEC rivals’ gain.

According to On’3’s Pete Nakos, Cam Coleman is visiting Texas on Friday and Saturday while also having a visit to Texas A&M arranged for sometime soon.. After announcing his intent to enter the transfer portal this week, Coleman instantly became the top wide receiver in the portal and one of the top sought-after players in the nation. Also, accordingt On Texas Football's Bobby Burton, Coleman might also be taking a visit to rival Alabama.

In two years on the Plains, the former 5-star signee caught 93 passes for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns. Out of Phenix City Central High School (AL), he was part of the Freeze Four that also included Perry Thompson, Malcolm Simmons and Bryce Cain that was recruited by then-head coach Hugh Freeze in the 2024 signing class. While Cain never saw much playing time, Coleman and Simmons made immediate contributions as sophomores, while Thompson finally got his chances this past season, catching 17 passes for 154 yards.

Where will the talented Cam Coleman land?

According to Nakos:

"The two early schools to watch are Texas and Texas A&M, and sources have told On3 they like where the Longhorns stand early on. It would add a top weapon in the passing game for Arch Manning. Sources have told On3 the Longhorns are working to get Coleman in on a visit on Friday and Saturday. Texas A&M is working to get him to College Station following the trip to Austin."

Coleman is joined by Thompson, Simmons, Horatio Fields, Sam Turner and Cam’Ron King as Auburn wide receivers who have announced their intention to enter the portal, while Eric Singleton Jr. announced on Thursday that he will enter his name into the NFL draft.
