Cam Newton is tired of the losing on the Plains. More than anything, though, Newton is sick of parents whose sons haven't won anything of note with the Auburn Tigers asking for millions of dollars before a single achievement is had.

Newton, with his shirt off after completing a personal workout with Strength/ Conditioning Coach George Courides at the Woltosz Football Performance Center on Friday, shared the sentiment with a pro wrestling-esque delivery.

“If they ain’t about winning they can get out of my face and go back to where they came from. I’m tired of supporting something that’s not winning! Can you deliver that message to the parents? Especially to the parents. Before they ask for money, WE. WANT. WINNERS. That’s our restitution. We give you money, you give us wins, and if you don’t. CTRL. ALT. DELETE," Newton said.

Alex Golesh has clear mandate after Hugh Freeze and Bryan Harsin disasters

The last two head football coaches at Auburn University didn't do their jobs. Hugh Freeze did the bare minimum, meeting players and having "deep spiritual connections" that only lasted a year once the money dried up, but it was Jimmy Rane and the rest of the booster class's generous donations that were convincing these kids that the Tigers were their best option. Not anything Freeze had to say. Bryan Harsin couldn't even get the donors to spend, and didn't even meet local coaches.

Alex Golesh has a clear mandate to simply do his job and see what happens. Thus far, he's gotten the Tigers in the mix for top 2027 recruits and brought over important pieces from his USF Bulls roster with a plan for 2026 already in place.

Newton, like many, are fed up with the product over the past few years. That puts Golesh in a tough position to impress at first, but also sets him up to be a hero if the ship is truly turned around and heading in the right direction after so many directionless years.
