Auburn Tigers coach Hugh Freeze's recent blow-up on Jackson Arnold during practice has many losing it across the college football world. Of course, few are making a bigger deal of the chaos than the Alabama Crimson Tide fanbase.

Bama Hammer's John Mitchell believes Freeze is already feeling buyer's remorse for his $2 million-plus investment into the Oklahoma Sooners transfer this offseason.

Mitchell also believes everything AU has done over the past few days -- from Cam Newton's jersey number being retired to the program claiming titles in 1910, 1913, 1914,1958, 1983, 1993, and 2004 -- is a sign that things won't be going smoothly in 2025.

"Auburn is a program that is always grasping for relevancy. And right now, they want to talk about anything other than the current football team as the Tigers stare a potential fifth straight losing season in the face. Hugh Freeze seems to have buyer's remorse on Oklahoma transfer Jackson Arnold, commenting on Monday after practice that Auburn could end up playing backups Ashton Daniels and Deuce Knight in the opener against Baylor in addition to Arnold. That signals a complete lack of confidence in Arnold, a fact that has become clearer and clearer, one visor throw at a time," Mitchell wrote.

Remorse? Before Arnold even takes a snap in a real game? Now that I just don't know about.

Certainly, there's concern with how Freeze is speaking about the quarterback position. There's not enough blind faith, irrational talk about him that we usually hear from head coaches to assuage any worries about the Tigers' planned starting signal-caller.

Then again, Freeze's comments about playing three QBs against the Baylor Bears in Week 1 may be misunderstood. Freeze may just plan on storming into Waco and having such a big lead that he'll have time to deploy Ashton Daniels and Deuce Knight.

Perhaps that's an optimistic way of looking at everything. But claiming Freeze already has buyer's remorse on Arnold is the black-pilled, overly negative way to view it.

Sounds about right from the Gumps.
