In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, the football team will host the #2 quarterback in the class of 2025 this weekend and the official date for A-Day has been set

News spread earlier this week that the Auburn football team was expected to host 5-star quarterback Julian "Juju" Lewis. From Carrollton, GA, Lewis is currently committed to Southern Cal and is ranked as the #2 quarterback in the recruiting class of 2025 and the #3 recruit out of the state of Georgia.

It was confirmed by On3 and Auburn Live earlier today that a visit date for Lewis has been set, and he will be on the Plains this weekend to meet with head coach Hugh Freeze and the rest of the coaching staff.

With the highly-ranked haul of wide receivers the Tigers have pulled into the recruiting class of 2024, there are plenty of reasons for talented quarterbacks to take a closer look at the Auburn football program.

The official date for A-Day has been set

After all the recruiting hype this winter, early enrollees and transfer additions are ready to go and the Tigers will be starting spring practice very soon. While no official schedule has been released at this point, the athletics department has revealed that the spring A-Day scrimmage will take place on April 6, 2024.

Last year's A-Day storylines revolved mostly around the Tigers' seemingly neverending quarterback battle as well as the massive transfer haul. As of now, all of the quarterbacks are returners—Payton Thorne, Holden Geriner, and Hank Brown—except for new 2024 signee Walker White. Will Geriner, Brown, or White show enough talent to overtake Thorne, who will be heading into his second season under Freeze?

With an incredibly talented class of 2024 and many veteran players returning, the Auburn football program is hoping to see a major improvement from last year's 6-7 season.
