Auburn Tigers News: 2026 LB to attend Big Cat Weekend, #3 safety trending to Auburn
In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, a high-priority LB target has confirmed attendance to Big Cat Weekend and a top safety in the 2025 class is trending to Auburn
Big Cat Weekend is just 10 days away, and the Auburn football program continues to grow the list of attendees. Earlier this week, linebacker Shadarius Toodle confirmed he will make his second trip to the Plains after attending the Tigers' Junior Day back in February.
From Mobile, Alabama, Toodle is ranked as the #5 LB in the recruiting class of 2026 and is the #4 prospect out of the state. With over 30 offers already, Toodle is clearly a sought-after prospect and it's likely his recruitment will continue to heat up over the next year.
According to Auburn Undercover, Toodle has been building a strong bond with the Auburn football coaching staff, especially co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach DJ Durkin, who he looks forward to spending more time with at Big Cat Weekend.
#3 safety trending to Auburn football
Thompson High School safety Anquon Fegans has been trending to Auburn football for some time now, but earlier this week several On3 analysts gained confidence and predicted the safety will choose the Tigers. Both Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons have logged Recruiting Prediction Machine predictions and over at 247 Fegans has four Auburn predictions in the Crystal Ball.
Fegans, who is ranked as the #3 safety in the recruiting class of 2025 and the #2 recruit out of the state of Alabama, is scheduled to return to the Plains at the end of the month for Big Cat Weekend and then announce his commitment decision following the event on July 29.
There's a high possibility that BCW may spur Fegans into making his decision a little early if he plans to choose Auburn football, and according to the experts, he is likely to do so.
