In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News we look at which Auburn football commits will be visiting for Big Cat Weekend and Hugh Freeze explains why Keldric Faulk was chosen for SEC Media Days

This weekend is the Auburn football program's biggest recruiting event of the year. At the end of every summer, the Tigers host Big Cat Weekend and invite recruits and their families to make their way to the Plains for a weekend of fun and fellowship.

In the past, Big Cat Weekend has supplied some big recruiting wins for the Tigers, including last year's commitment from wide receiver Malcolm Simmons and Perry Thompson's flip from Alabama.

Many uncommitted prospects will be attending the event, but all of the Auburn football program's class of 2025 commits will be on the Plains, too, per the On3 Sports visit database:

  • DL Malik Autry
  • S Eric Winters
  • LB Jakaleb Faulk
  • OT Broderick Shull
  • RB Alvin Henderson
  • OT Tavaris Dice
  • DL Jourdin Crawford
  • CB Devin Williams
  • CB Donovan Starr
  • TE Ryan Ghea
  • TE Hollis Davidson
  • IOL Tai Buster
  • CB Dante Core
  • ATH Bryce Deas

Hugh Freeze explains why Keldric Faulk was chosen for SEC Media Days

Last week, Keldric Faulk joined Eugene Asante and Payton Thorne as the three player representatives at the 2024 SEC Media Days. As a true sophomore, Faulk is the youngest player chosen for Media Days in 40 years. But it was clear that Faulk was a gamechanger the moment he stepped on the field as a true freshman.

Faulk played in all 13 of the Tigers' games last season as a true freshman and got the starting nod in eight of the contests. He racked up 35 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and one sack in his first year, but it's more than his stats that have made him stand out to head coach Hugh Freeze.

“Keldric has had an incredible voice that people listen to because he’s wise for his age,” Freeze said, per Auburn Athletics. “His work ethic is incredible. He’s probably the most accountable guy we have on the defensive side to this point.”

Faulk's production and value will only increase in his second year on the Plains.
