Auburn Tigers News: Two basketball players hit 1000 career points, Auburn football predicted to land in-state OL
In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, two basketball players have officially scored 1,000 career points, and Auburn football is predicted to land in-state OL Micah DeBose
The Auburn basketball team played an extremely solid game against Alabama State this week, defeating the Hornets 82-62. The Tigers were in control for the entirety of the game, and two players hit historic landmarks in their careers.
KD Johnson and Jaylin Williams both surpassed 1,000 career points in Friday's game. Johnson was the first, knocking down two three-pointers to secure the five needed points in the first half of the game. He ended the game with 13 total points.
Williams soared past 1,000 in a wild sequence of events, beginning with a left-handed layup before slamming a one-handed dunk off an alley-oop from Tre Donaldson in the next posession. He led the Tigers in scoring with 20 points.
Auburn basketball will next take the court on December 30 in Neville Arena against Chattanooga.

The ink has barely dried on the Auburn football recruiting class of 2024, but already the class of 2025 is making a lot of noise. Earlier this week, the Tigers flipped 4-star defensive lineman Antonio Coleman from Alabama, and now it seems head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff are close to landing another 2025 prospect.
DeBose committed to the Georgia Bulldogs in January of this year, but has been recruiting by other programs all year. He visited Auburn several times late in the 2023 season, and then decommitted from the Dawgs yesterday.
Now, recruiting experts are putting in predictions left and right that say the Tigers are in the lead for the Mobile native, who is ranked as the #4 offensive tackle in the recruiting class of 2025 and is the #3 recruit out of the state of Alabama.
