In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, linebacker Eugene Asante shares his advice for the team and forward Brandie Harrod commits to Auburn women's basketball

The Auburn football team is facing adversity right now, and it's more important than ever for the team leaders to step up and keep the team together and headed in the right direction. One of the biggest voices for the Tigers is linebacker Eugene Asante, known for his popular "let's work!" catch phrase.

The linebacker has been emphasizing to the team how close they are to being successful, and pointing out that the mistakes are self-inflicted. If they can come together and make big plays, they will finally level up.

"Effort and intensity in our practice," he said, per Auburn Undercover. "Not dragging in practice. Just going out there and trying to have a complete practice and going out there and executing the assignment. Just making the plays in the key moments. We have guys that are in a position to make plays, just make the play in a key moment. Be the one to make the play. We're trying to emphasize that to our team. We had a player-run meeting yesterday and had a real conversation. I think everybody adhered to the message."

Brandie Harrod commits to Auburn women's basketball

Coach J and Auburn women's basketball got big news earlier this week with the commitment of top 50 forward Brandie Harrod. The overall #42 prospect in the recruiting class of 2025, Harrod chose the Tigers over Georgia, Oklahoma State, Utah, and more. Her trip to the Plains was enough to solidify her desire to play for Auburn.

"Oklahoma State was the first visit that I went to on July, then I went to Auburn after that," said the Oklahoma City native, per Auburn Undercover. "After Auburn, I went to the other two schools. But every visit after Auburn it didn't feel the same. I just kept comparing Auburn to the other schools. I thought it wouldn't be fair to the other schools to go down there when I knew I wanted to go to Auburn."
