On Wednesday night, the Auburn men's golf team clinched their 10th victory of the season and beat Florida State to become national champions. The Tigers battled through Virginia and Ohio State to punch their ticket to the title match and came out on top 3-2 over the Seminoles.

Senior JM Butler was the anchor and ultimately secured the winning point for the Tigers, beating out Florida State's Luke Clanton. The win cemented a historical season for freshman Jackson Koivun, who won the Ben Hogan Award and Haskins Award and was named SEC Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and first-team All-American.

"Unbelievable, 10 wins," coach Nick Clinard said, per Auburn Undercover. "I told them before we got here that if they won this tournament they would go down as one of the best college golf teams in the history of college golf. I think we've accomplished that today."

Auburn sets the north end zone scoreboard budget

Earlier this year in February, the Auburn Board of Trustees approved the initial proposal for a new videoboard in the north end zone of Jordan-Hare Stadium. The project, which is expected to break ground this summer and be finished by the 2025 football season, has been given a $25.7 million budget to be funded by athletic department donations.

When the project was approved in February, Athletics Director John Cohen explained that the video board and its supporting structure were designed with future, additional renovations in mind and that more changes to the north end zone will come.

The new video board will stand 47 feet high by 154 feet wide compared to the jumbotron in the south endzone, which is 190 feet by 57 feet.
