So far, head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff have locked down eight of the top ten recruits in the state of Alabama in the recruiting class of 2025. Only two outliers remain, both committed to Ohio State: 5-star cornerback Na'eem Offord and 4-star edge Zion Grady.

This weekend, Offord — the No. 1 recruit out of the state — is set to be on the Plains for the Tigers' season opener against Alabama A&M. The Tigers have been pushing hard for Offord this summer, and if he flipped he would become the most highly-ranked player in Auburn football's 2025 class.

Could the Tigers' performance be enough to persuade the 5-star cornerback to make the flip? Auburn and Alabama A&M kick off at 6:30 p.m. from Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Next steps for the north end zone

Earlier this year, the plan for a new video board in the north end zone of Jordan-Hare Stadium was approved by the board of trustees, and work has already begun on the project, which is set to be completed in time for the 2025 season.

The video board was designed to sit on a concrete structure with future development in mind, and next week the board of trustees will vote on the next steps in the project. According to Auburn Undercover, the plans include a multi-use facility to be used year-round for events as well as more premium opportunities for fans.

"This transformative project aims to enhance the overall Auburn fan experience by providing modernized amenities," per the meeting materials. "The addition will combine premium seating, concessions, stadium support facilities, along with versatile conference event spaces, retail venues, student activity spaces, meeting rooms, as well as future shell space."
